These are electric awnings. One button on a remote and it extends, another and it is gone. No cranking, no wrestling with a pole, no deciding it is not worth the effort and staying inside.

The support arms run laterally, directly beneath the canopy, which means nothing is planted in the middle of your patio and nothing interrupts the view out. That is the difference between an awning people actually deploy and one that stays rolled up.

Will it handle valley weather?
SunSetter awnings are built to retract. Best practice in any wind or heavy weather is to bring it in, which takes one button.
Can it mount on my house?
Usually, and there are several mounting options for awkward walls and rooflines. That is exactly what the on-site visit determines.
How wide can they go?
Up to 20 feet wide, projecting up to 13 feet 1 inch out from the wall. That covers most valley patios and decks in a single span. The on-site visit confirms what your wall and roofline will carry.
